Nestled between the quiet charm of Southend’s conservation area and the bustle of the High Street, The Mews exudes a secluded and comfortable character particularly suited to relaxed wining and dining. The welcoming ambience can also be enjoyed in our popular bar, along with a wide range of fine wines, spirits, cocktails and draught beers.

We went here for the first time for my dads birthday, there were 7 of us. The food was really tasty and come out quickly for a large table. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was decent. I would definitely recommend this place whether its for a spot of lunch or a special occasion!
The Mews is tucked away in Southend, and if you don't know the area you'll probably need to check it on a map. The bar is often busy after work on a Friday, and they do a nice selection of well priced, decent bar food at lunch. The real gem in the restaurant upstairs - you'll need to book as it's small, but it's well worth while. I've only eaten there 3 or 4 times, but I've always come away pleased - the chef is a master, and clearly enjoys his work. For such a small restaurant, it outclasses other restaurants in Southend by producing tasty, creative dishes that always makes me wish I could order several meals from the menu. Highly recommended.
