Henry Burgers currently has no offers.
Henry burgers popped up in Southend a good few months ago, and I've been 3 or 4 times now. It's great, honest burger-food - and although the Southend Henry Burgers isn't quite as awesome as the Leigh on Sea Henry Burgers - it's still pretty good. I assumed it was a big chain, as it was well run and well branded - but apparently it is a family owned restaurant with just the two locations. The burgers are fantastically well cooked, and the bone-marrow chilli is a nice touch on the menu as well. It's great for a small group to eat out - rather than a romantic meal for two. The atmosphere is friendly - but better for groups. The only surprise (and slight disappointment) was the toilets. The building used to be the 'Sun Rooms' - which was a bit dingy, and they've not done much to upgrade the toilets, which felt a bit grubby. The sink looks almost exactly like a men's urinal - so much so, they've had to write in big white writing 'This is the Sink', with an arrow. I narrowly avoided making that mistake. Still, it made me laugh and gave me a story to tell others - and the food was great. I did eat at the Leigh on Sea location just a few weeks back - and to be honest, it was a little better - but the building was better and larger - and I believe that's where the founder 'Henry' works, so it's bound to be a bit smarter. That all said, if you're not snobby about food, and love a good burger, I can thoroughly recommend Henry Burgers in Southend.
