Hi, we are Bobby Jo’s. We opened on February 13th 2010 and this is a first time restaurant venture for us, Tony and Jo Cox. We have a real love for the 50s and hope we have passed some of our passion and feel for the 50s into this diner.

Have heard good things about this place and finally decided to try it for myself. We went on Father's Day and wasn't expecting to get a seat, we went in and thought we would try our luck, the place was packed but said it was an half hour wait, which we was more then happy to wait but the owner suggested to take our phone number and give us a call when our table was ready so we can take a walk along the seafront. Once we received our call back we sat down and was waited on straight away, We ordered milkshakes for drinks, these were real milk shakes none of that ready made non-sense. We ordered burgers for our meal, when these came out we were shocked at the size, but as they tasted amazing we managed to get our way through them. We were so stuffed that unfortunately dessert wasn't an option for us even though they looked so tasty (always next time). Overall i couldn't recommend this place anymore if i wanted to, the service, food and value were amazing and the 60's theme just sets this place above the rest around the Southend on Sea area for the prices they charge, will definitely be going again very soon.
